Membership
We welcome all students majoring in Civil and Environmental Engineering to become a part of the ASCE experience!
One of the easiest ways to join is to attend one of the UCF Student Chapter meetings (for times and locations, check out the main page or the calendar of events).
Steps to Becoming a Member
- Download and complete the New Member Application. (Please complete the form using Microsoft Word and print it.)
- Turn in your completed Application with the appropriate membership dues to the ASCE office (Engineering I - Room 189A)
- Once you are UCF Student Chapter member, you should visit https://www.asce.org/membership/ and become a national member of ASCE (which is free and offers even more benefits).
Benefits of Membership
- Meet other students in your major and get help in courses that other ASCE members have already taken.
- Network with professional engineers from top local Civil Engineering companies. Definitely helps those seeking an intership or job after graduation.
- Learn what civil engineers from various disciplines do on a daily basis (Geotechnical, Transportation, Water Resources, Structural, Construction, etc.).
- Get tips from recent UCF graduates on the transition from college to the working world, and how you will use the knowledge you acquire today will come in handy on the job.
- Travel across the southeast U.S. by participating in the annual Southeast Regional Conference (2007 SRC is in Knoxville, TN).
- Get an opportunity to apply for member-only scholarships, and increase your chances of getting other scholarships by demonstrating extracurricular involvement through active participation.
- Attend social events, tailgates, and get free food and refreshments at the meetings!
